Darren Wright and Dave Skinner are experts in building brands from the ground up. Their creative partnership has yielded hundreds of top industry awards and their portfolio of work spans most every category imaginable.
When the NFL was reeling from yearly declining ratings for the playoffs, Darren and Dave helped create the first ever advertising campaign for the NFL - their award winning work featuring Don Cheadle. Not only did the campaign create a lasting bond with fans, it led to record-breaking viewership of the playoffs and Super Bowl. Creativity named their spot “Crazy,” one of the top 20 Super Bowl ads of all time, and Athlon Sports named the campaign the 4th greatest sports ad campaign of all time.
Darren and Dave also helped transition an old stodgy brand, at&t, into the number one wireless company in the world. Their consistent award winning work included a number five ranking in Time Magazine’s Top 10 Everything list, for the acclaimed at&t “Scorsese” spot.
Darren and Dave were two of the three original founding members of Leo Burnett NY and helped grow the agency into an award winning shop when they partnered with the United Nations to create a first of its kind marketplace for words designed to turn people’s words of support into real action, and real money, that provided essential humanitarian aid around the world. This award winning campaign generated over 1 billion media impressions, and was even nominated for an MTV Music Award.
Recently, Dave and Darren ran the Citizens Bank account at Ogilvy and Mather New York. They were also instrumental in winning the Rolex Pitch, as well as the Coca-Cola pitch where they created the Global platform Taste the Feeling.
While their primary focus has been on brand building and new media development, Darren and Dave have also written segments for Fox Television, developed a pilot for Paramount Television, been spoofed on SNL twice, lost winning a moon man to Beyonce at the MTV music awards, helped launch a new channel for Nickelodeon, and are currently working in new show development for Litton Entertainment, a division of Hearst Entertainment.
Darren and Dave's secret to success is being in love with what they do and surrounding themselves with people who feel the same way.
