When a disaster strikes, aid workers need resources like food, water, shelter and medicine to help the victims. But often the only resource people have to give are their words of support. This insight formed the basis of an entirely new marketplace created for the United Nations. The World Needs More is a marketplace for words that turns peoples words of support into real action. Imagine if you said the world needs more water, and the world actually got more water just because you shared it. This is how the marketplace works. Brands and individuals were allowed to sponsor a word. Every time the word is shared, the world gets more of that word. Barclays to Gucci to Beyonce all sponsored words that helped the United Nations generate record funding for the things we all felt the world needed more of.
